C – C+ (C and C+ reinforced)

It is typically used as the main load-bearing element in light steel timber frame structures. It acts as a cross-brace in wall panels and floor slabs. Traditionally used as a load-bearing truss (rafter) and also for the manufacture of support columns (posts). Usually joined in pairs of the same H-size, it has an increased buckling limit and moderate shear resistance. Available in thicknesses ranging from 1.0 to 4.0 mm.
